- In order to comply with Colorado EPEWA (Equal Pay for Equal Work Act) all student employee positions, including research positions, must be posted on SEAN for at least 3 days, you can share with your students the job posting information so they can view the opportunity on SEAN.

During the fall and spring work terms student employees can work up to 25 hours per week, or up to 50 hours in a two week pay period with no single week exceeding 40 hours.

During the summer wok term student employees can work up to 40 hours per week.

These limits are different for international students and depend on their visa restrictions as mentioned in the prior answer regarding international students as research assistants.

What training do I have to complete to be a student’s supervisor?

Supervisors to attend both a Basic Supervisor Training and an Advanced Supervisor Training. Both are offered once during the fall and spring semesters and are facilitated by Student Employment. We can also set up individual trainings for supervisors unable to attend a group training.
