Limited Submission Opportunities
Institutionally-limited opportunities
Limited submission opportunities are funding opportunities where the sponsor restricts the number of applications institutions can submit. The Office of Research manages the process for determining which proposing investigator(s) will be authorized to submit an application to the sponsor.

If you have a limited submission you'd like to apply to that is not on this list, please reach out to our research development team at rd@uccs.edu.
How to Apply for a Limited Submission
The Office of Research curates a list of limited submissions which need to go through an internal review process:
- Once you identify a limited submission opportunity to apply for, fill out the UCCS Limited Submission Common Application. Here, you will provide relevant information as well as a concept paper to determine fit and eligibility.
- UCCS Limited Submission Common Application – Fill out form
- If the submission is competitive (more than one PI applied through the internal form), your one-page concept paper will be sent to be reviewed by a standing committee.
- Reviewers will be asked to score concept papers against specific criteria articulated in the sponsor’s solicitation and give an overall ranking that reflects their opinion of the concept paper’s likelihood of receiving funding by the sponsor.
- The contact investigator(s) for the selected concept paper(s) will be notified by email and the Office of Sponsored Programs will be copied. This authorization must be included for review by the Office of Sponsored Programs with your other proposal materials when you are ready to submit to the sponsor.
