Distinguished Professor
The "Distinguished Professor"
The title “Distinguished Professor” is the highest rank and honor that the University of Colorado system bestows on its own faculty members. CU distinguished professors demonstrate exemplary performance in research, have a record of excellence in classroom teaching and supervision of individual learning, and demonstrate outstanding leadership and service to the university, the profession and/or the public. To date we’ve had 9 faculty achieve this highest rank and recognition at UCCS, 7 of whom are still actively engaged in our campus today.
The Distinguished Professor Lecture Series gives UCCS Distinguished Professors the opportunity to share their research and career stories to the campus at large. The series started in Fall 2021 with one lecture per semester. Please enjoy our past presenters listed below.
